Upcoming Event - November
The Victorian Ancients Championships (ADLG)
15 & 16 November 2025
The League is proud to once again be hosting the Victorian Ancients Championship using ADLG v4 rules. It will be held on the 15th & 16th of November 2025 at the Caulfield RSL.
Players can choose armies from the Roman and Dark Age periods of the rule book. Allies can only be selected from these two periods as well. Armies are to be no more than 200 points.
The tournament will be held over 4 rounds with the first round starting at 10.30am on each day and the second round at 2.00pm. Each round will go for 2.5 hours plus 3-18 minutes of random time. Please arrive 15 minutes before the start.
15mm armies are to be used and should accurately depict the troops they represent. Loan armies are available on request.
Please submit your army list by 7 November.
Upcoming Event December
Struggle of Nations 1815 Napoleonic Event
Sunday 14 December 2025
This is team event with a Coalition team matched up against a French team, with armies from a single year in the lists. Last year the theme was 1794 armies only (which the Coalition team narrowly won). This year the theme is 1815 armies only.
The event is played over two rounds using Glory is Fleeting Napoleonic Wargames rules and 15mm figures.
• Game one will be one on one 1,000 point games.
• Game 2 will be 1,600 point doubles games (the doubles pairs will be decided after the first round based on how many people are playing).
Players do not need to submit army lists in advance but do need to come with a 1,000 point list and an 800 point list to be used for the doubles game. For 800 point lists, reduce the minimums in your list (and any attached divisions) by 20% rounded off to the nearest even number (so a minimum of 4 remains 4).
Knowing that not everyone has armies from this period, we will not be strict on troops being used with the wrong hats and as always, armies are available for loan.
Entry is free for members and $5 for non-members. Visitors are welcome to come and play or just observe the fun!
